Laurence Bourguignon was born in 1963 in Huy (Belgium). Her husband is a sculptor and a painter‚ they have a 16 years old son called Antonin‚ three cats‚ and they live in a cosy cottage in the fields. Laurence learned French litterature at University of Liège and worked in a bookshop of children’s books for 10 years. Besides she wrote short stories for chidren’s press in Belgium. In 1992 she started working at Mijade Publications as an author and as an editor. She has now written many stories for young readers which are translated in several countries.
