Guido Van Genechten was born in Belgium in 1957. He trained as an artist at the Academy of Graphic Arts in Mol. A graphic designer for many years‚ he now devotes his time exclusively to children's illustrations. He always strives for clear‚ direct and lively images. His illustrations are a subtle blend of gouache‚ watercolour paint and coloured pencils. He has published a number of books with Clavis. His "Petit poisson blanc" series has been published by Mijade since 2009‚ along with most of his other titles.
