Marie–Aline Bawin was born in 1960 in Belgium. She studied illustration at the Saint Luc Institute in Liège. For twenty years‚ Marie–Aline has been drawing for magazines devoted to children in Belgium and in France. Marie–Aline has four sons and a lot of grandchildren. She lives in the countryside‚ where she has a workshop filled with light. Mijade has been following her work since 2008‚ with no fewer than 14 albums published. She is also behind the cult Tom series (Mango).
